Moving Slowly Forward...

According to the authorities, all residents, with the exceptions of those in Green Valley Lake and the Brentwood burn area of the Grass Valley fire, will be allowed to return to the mountains Thursday morning.

I spoke with Dr. Byerly, RHS principal, this afternoon, and he stated that he is commited to helping the production happen. I have no details about scheduling or timelines--the district is still working on their re-entry plan and making sure all school sites are ready for our return, but I feel very confident that the school and district administration will do whatever they can to make sure we can get "The Diary of Anne Frank" rescheduled for a successful, and very meaningful, run.

Many of you are already home, and many of us still evacuated are eagerly awaiting Thursday morning. Let us not forget those who cannot get home yet, and those who may not have a house to get back to. The true measure of a person's character and honor lies in that person's service to those in need. It is time for you to serve your community. Time to do your values...
